ABOUT ME
It is essential for all of us to be able to tell our story. And it’s not enough just to tell our story, it’s good to have someone there to listen. As a psychologist, I strive to support the shared exploration of the layers of meaning in the stories we tell through active listening, emotional empathy and questions for better understanding.
In psychological counselling, I use the framework of a person-centred approach, of which unconditional acceptance is one of the pillars. I find that each person who comes to me is different, so the methods I use (art therapy, schema therapy, or cognitive elements) are largely dependent on the person and the situation.
I graduated from the Károli Gáspár Reformed University, with a Master’s degree in Clinical and Health Psychology. After that I worked for two years at the Student Support Centre of the Faculty of Informatics of ELTE, where I did psychological consultations in Hungarian and English. As a psychologist trainer, I facilitated a soft skill development course during my time there, covering topics such as stress management, intercultural communication and time management.
As a human-environment transactional psychologist candidate, I also consider it important from a self-awareness-life management perspective to examine our relationship with the built and natural environment, as in many cases it addresses issues that are also commonly discussed in individual consultations: how am I affected by the living space I live in? How can I change it in ways that are good for me? Why am I more stressed or depressed in some places than others?
Central to my approach are practicality and resilience, which, together with an awareness of our inner resources, can provide powerful opportunities for self and others to grow. I am currently an Outdoor Trainer Candidate at Outward Bound Romania, an international organisation for experiential learning and experiential pedagogy, where I enjoy following participants as they seek to change and learn new ways of coping.

RECOMMENDATIONS
„For me, it was a very new process as I had never been in this situation before, I had never talked to anyone professional (or anybody else for that matter) about my personal problems because I was ashamed to admit them to others. From the beginning I felt a very welcoming atmosphere, it was extremely easy to open up about my problems and I felt completely safe throughout the process. At first I was perhaps a little sceptical that we could make any real improvement, but after about a month it became clear to me that our conversations were really helping, and looking back 1 year later I can absolutely say that it was a huge help to be able to talk to someone who was competent about my problems.”
